CABIN
CABIN
We are able to achieve big things when we stay connected online 24/7, but it also increases the need for a warm space where you can be the person you truly are. Imagine a place where you can grow by attending inspiring workshops and relating to other students. This way, your connections extend beyond your online persona, bringing you closer to yourself.
As of the 2024-2025 academic year, you can experience just that at CABIN, an empowering meeting place within GATE15, the hub for and by Antwerp students.

In the Great Antwerp Student Survey, students placed mental well-being high on the agenda. So STAN joined forces with JAC Antwerpen and from that moment CABIN was born. In CABIN you can find peace and quiet, attend workshops, meet other students and find a listening ear if you need one. Self care is the main focus at CABIN: you are welcome here on both your good and bad days, to chill, to talk, to study… always room for coffee and a chat.
But that’s not all! Every month, we curate a program of inspiring group activities tailored to the specific time of the academic year. During the study period you can attend workshops to manage exam stress, join a game night to meet new friends, or learn how to give your room a sustainable makeover on a budget. The best part? You can contribute ideas for these workshops, because everything is created for students, by students.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Every working day between 9 am until 5 pm you are welcome at CABIN to get some rest, meet other students and find a listening ear if you need one. You can also borrow tools and have a free coffee, tea or water. For some workshops & activities you just join, for others you can easily register via www.cabinantwerp.be.
Everyone is welcome at CABIN, with or without their own lunch. Consuming is not necessary, but is allowed.
At CABIN, both professionals and volunteers are there for you, even if you just want to tell your story anonymously. A listening ear can sometimes be enough. If you still need further help, we will work together to find the right path for you.
Of course you can give input for the workshops or to organise something yourself. Feel free to pop in and ask our staff what is possible.
Of course! We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team, the CABIN crew. Check out our vacancies.
